So, the move is finally happening.
I’m going to be spending my first night in my brand new bedroom and my newly done house.
After all the hassle and pain of building works I will definitely be treating myself. I’ve asked my team over at the warehouse to send across new silk duvets and a large number of silk satin pillowcases. I will layer them 3 deep on the new bed and chuck away my old and frayed bedding. To cap it all I’m going get colour co-ordinating silk throws to snuggle under on my bedroom chaise longue. Oh, and lots and lots of my favourite lavender candles. Don’t bother calling me after kids’ bedtime for the next month: I’ll be locked in my bedroom enjoying the ultimate home bliss-out.
And just so that you don’t think I’m completely selfish; I’m going to copy a very beautiful and stylish celeb who recently placed an order with us for 8 cashmere dressing gowns. For delivery to her new country house. Clearly only the best is good enough for her house guests and I intend to look after my friends in the same opulent fashion. After all, they’ve put up with sleeping on mattresses on the floor of my kids’ room whenever they’ve come to stay in our temporary home over the last year. So it’s time to make them feel properly welcome and what better way to do that than with a pair of cashmere dressing gowns in every guest room?
